Had to put a lot of thought in purchasing this lens versus the Nikon 12-24, but everyone was recommending the Tokina. They were right! This thing is easy and super sharp right out of the box. The best thing is how much fun this lens is. It puts a great perspective on every shot. Here’s my first shot.

This year in Los Angeles, Portraits of Hope unleashed a photographic wonderland upon our Pacific Coast beaches – transforming more than 100 lifeguard towers into pure works of art. Steve Wilmes embarked upon a beach bum’s dream – spending countless hours in the sun with a loyal Nikon, exploring more than 30 miles of coastline and photographing each lifeguard tower along the way.

Steve has teamed up with Bobaloca in Manhattan Beach, California for a limited edition showing of these working buildings of art. Join us from September 13th thru October 31st for a sneak peak at these inspiring images.

Steve will donate $15 for each work of art sold to Portraits of Hope.
